Jane Kapustin
PhD, CRNP, FAANP, FAAN, Endocrinology Instructor
Jane is board-certified as an adult nurse practitioner and in advance diabetes management. She mentors doctoral and master’s students at the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes in Baltimore, where she maintains a faculty practice. Jane has published more than 40 articles and 12 book chapters, mostly on diabetes, and routinely lectures at national conferences such as the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, where she serves on the board. She was inducted as a fellow with AANP and AAN.
Benjamin Smith
DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA, Rheumatology Instructor
Ben is an award-winning Physician Assistant. In the rheumatology setting, he has been treating patients at the McIntosh Clinic based in Thomasville, GA since 1999. He has also served as president at the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP) and in other capacities as well. His resume includes serving on various task forces for the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as a Rheumatology Specialty Board Member for the American Board of Internal Medicine, and his current work as an assistant professor and director of didactic education at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Denise Ramponi
DNP, FNP-C, ENP-BC, FAANP, FAEN, Procedural Skills Instructor
Denise is a dual-certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of NP experience, primarily in emergency and acute trauma settings. She splits time between two busy emergency departments in the Pittsburgh area and her work as an Associate Professor and Director of DNP programs at Robert Morris University. As a procedural skills expert, Denise has presented at regional, state, and national conferences for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Continuing Education (NPACE).
